English: Contemporary engraving of the first Wimbledon Championship at Worple Road, London, in July 1877. Note the higher net (5 ft). The clubhouse is located on the left (in a distance). Worple Road is on the left and on the right is the track of the London and Southampton Railways. The balls were kept in the "mangers" close to the players.
