Summary

This wild arc is topologically the same as the example given in the Hocking and Young book. It differs from Wild1.png because the overpass and underpass sequence is over/over/under/over/under/under (starting from the topmost point and following the curve to the right), whereas the sequence for Wild1.png is over/under/over/under/over/under. These curves look the same if you ignore the overpass/underpass sequence, but they are not topologically equivalent.

In the Hocking and Young book (page 177), the diagram they give is a left-right mirror image of the image Wild3.png which is given here. The reason for the mirror-reversal here is to facilitate comparison with File1.png, which matches the current example on the "Wild arc" wikipedia page.
