Description Peter A. B. Widener mansion, Broad Street and Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1887), Willis G. Hale, architect. Widener donated the mansion to the Free Library of Philadelphia in 1899, which used it as a branch library from 1900 to 1946. It burned in 1980, and was demolished.
