English: Burial of Private Robert Whitehead (1896-1916), Canadian Infantry, Canadian Expeditionary Force, 95th Battalion, at Shorncliffe Military Cemetery. He came from Elmbank, Toronto Township (Mississauga), Peel County, Ontario.
The image also shows the graves of Private Samuel Bottomley and Private George Bates.
The back of the image reads "Sounding "Last Post". A823. The Tower in front is one of the Marello Towers of defence [past an bank?, sic] of English Channel."
