Summary

Description
English: Whitehead Memorial Clock Tower and Gardens. Erected large by Henry Whitehead in 1914 as a memorial for his recently deceased brother, Walter Whitehead (1840-1913). It stands in front of the town hall (visible in the picture) at the northern end of Whitehead Gardens, the triangular-shaped piece of land between Knowsley Street and Manchester Road.
