Summary

Description A view from the Palace Pier of the Whitehawk Hill Transmitting Station, Whitehawk Hill, City of Brighton and Hove, England. This is used for the transmission of various television and radio stations. There was a telegraph station at this very high point from the early 19th century. (The buildings in the foreground are 42 to 53 Marine Parade; the road with the blue building is Lower Rock Gardens; and the block of flats is Hereford Court.)
