Summary
| Description |
The Aviación Naval Uruguaya had three of these red and white Wessex in service at Laguna del Sauce airport near Punta del Este. The Wessex Mk 60 was the civilian version of the Wessex HC2; 20 were manufactured. The three Uruguayan helicopters were built in 1966 and bought from Bristow Helicopters between 1991 and 1994. I don't know in what year they left service, but they were replaced by former RAF Wessex HC2's in 1997. |
