English: Wendy Penney playing her 1969 Hofner bass guitar, model 5000/1. Hofner made a small number of these basses for one year only as a commemorative special edition in honor of Paul McCartney.
Unlike Paul's, it is right handed, all blonde, with gold plated hardware, special pearl inlay, and active electronics, a rarity for basses in 1969. Wendy Penney was a cofounding member of the bands ROGER AND WENDY, EUPHORIA,
and BERMUDA TRIANGLE BAND. She was also known for her exceptional voice.
