Description
Deutsch: Ostansicht der evangelischen Christuskirche in der oberösterreichischen Stadt Wels. Sie war die 1. evangelische Kirche Österreichs, die einen Turm mit Geläute hatte.
Die Kirche wurde von 1849 bis 1852 nach Plänen des Nürnberger Carl Alexander Heideloff unter der Bauleitung des Hannoveraner Architekten Michael Geiger im neogotischen Stil errichtet. Das Langhaus ist dreischiffig und hat fünf Joche. Der 60 Meter hohe Westturm erhielt erst 1860 seine heutige Form.
