English: Wellesley Road Office Blocks taken from Croydon Underpass View from Croydon Underpass at Wellesley Road, looking north. Although difficult to show, the variety in shapes and sizes for office blocks abound here, covering designs from several decades. The underpass was constructed in the 1960s as part of a wider scheme to improve traffic flow in the centre of Croydon - although some say it just moved the traffic jams to a different point! Since the late 1990's the road use and layout at this junction has changed considerably, following the introduction of modern trams.
