Welcome_(sternwheeler).jpg (316 × 316 pixels, file size: 23 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Summary
[edit]Photo of the sternwheeler Welcome, which operated on the Coquille River in Oregon from 1900 to 1907. Fair use justification for Welcome (sternwheeler): This image was published to the Bandon Western World, courtesy of the Bandon Historical Museum, but it has been used before, specifically in Timmen, Fritz, Blow for the Landing Caxton (1974) to illustrate Welcome. The actual photographer is unknown. Fair use is claimed as this appears to be one of the few photos of this vessel, which has been out of service for over 100 years.
Licensing
[edit]This image is a faithful digitisation of a unique historic image, and the copyright for it is most likely held by the person who created the image or the agency employing the person. Use of historic images from press agencies must only be of a transformative nature, when the image itself is the subject of commentary rather than the event it depicts (which is the original market role, and is not allowed per policy). | |||
