Summary

Description
English: Using a normalized difference water index, the satellite image retrieved from Landsat 8 was loaded as a grayscale on the application ENVI. An equalization contrast stretch was applied to better equalize the lower DN values (darker areas) and the higher DN values (lighter areas) in the image. Next, a yellow-green-blue color table was applied and the color table was reversed so the color blue represented the water. Lastly, the hue was adjusted to make the areas of water as dark as possible to contrast better with the land and buildings of Charleston. This resulted in a better visualization of the waterways in Charleston, South Carolina.
