This is the replica of a water-powered clock that was invented by the royal scholars under the guidance of King Sejong the Great in the 15th Century. It was developed in 1433, and after refinements, entered service the following year as the official timekeeping piece of the Joseon kingdom.
This display is part of the King Sejong-themed part of Yeouido Park.
