English: This unusual Dvaravati Mon image is housed in the small chapel of Wat Na Phra Meru. Seated "European" style with hands resting on knees, this form is not often seen in images of the Buddha. The statue was found in Wat Mahathat, and may have come originally from Nakhon Pathom.
