The first phase of the (never finished) construction of the Warsaw Metro, a schematic (though fairly geographically-accurate) map created as a source for Image:Warsaw Metro 1938 Phase1.png. The first two lines were designed in 1927, the construction started in 1938, but had to be abandoned due to World War II. The lines are Line A (N-S, marked with red) and Line B (E-W, marked with blue). Other lines featured are the WKD suburban train (thin red line) and main railroad lines (B&W) Names of the stations are mostly geographical as exact naming was not decided.
Made by Halibutt in GIMP and Inkscape, basing on the 1935 map of Warsaw, a map published in: various authors (1962). Jan RossmanStudia i projekty metra w Warszawie; 1928-1958, 391 p., Warsaw: Arkady. and line description published in the same book.
