Description
English: War memorial, Elvaston village The war memorial carries the names of 15 dead from 1914-1918, which includes workers in the Elvaston Castle estate. The names are in alphabetical order apart from Talbot FitzRoy Eden Stanhope, son of the 9th Earl Harrington of Elvaston Castle, who takes pride of place at the top of the list. Two further names were added to commemorate the dead of 1939-1945.
