Deutsch: Reichsadler in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus mit Hakenkreuz im Lorbeerkranz in den Fängen (1935–1945).
English: The Reichsadler or coat of arms of the Deutsches Reich (German Reich, 1935–1945), which features an eagle looking over its right shoulder, that is, looking to the left from the viewer's point of view. It is similar to the Parteiadler or coat of arms of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP; known in English as the National Socialist German Workers' Party or simply the Nazi Party), but the eagle of the latter is looking over its left shoulder, that is, looking to the right from the viewer's point of view (see File:Parteiadler der Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (1933–1945).svg, shown below).

This file depicts the coat of arms of a German Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts (corporation governed by public law). According to § 5 Abs. 1 of the German Copyright law, official works like coats of arms or flags are gemeinfrei (in the public domain). Since the Federal Republic of Germany is the legal successor of the Weimar Republic as well as of the "Third Reich" this law is also applicable to flags and coat of arms promulgated before 1945.
