Object history
Deutsch: Im Jahre 1930 wurden erste Versuche unternommen, ein Ortswappen zu schaffen. Dabei griff man auf das Wappen des 1488 ausgestorbenen Ortsadels zurück und zwar in der Form, wie es im Siegel Frennas von Balgheim 1445 erscheint: Es zeigt einen geteilten Schild, der oben mit zwei Lilien, unten mit einem Fadengitter belegt ist. Ab 1931 wurde dieses Wappen mit Farben geführt, die jedoch der heraldischen Farbregel nicht genügten. 1934 wurde die heute noch gültige, an der farblichen Uberlieferung des Adelswappens orientierte Tingierung festgelegt. Die Verleihung des Rechts zur Führung einer Flagge in den Farben Weiß-Blau erfolgte durch das Innenministerium am 20. März 1968.
