Description
English: American sound engineer, business executive, and entrepreneur Walt Stinson helped introduce digital audio and CDs to the United States in the early 1980s. He travelled to Japan in 1982 to obtain the first batch of compact discs and convinced Sony and Nippon Columbia (Denon) to provide him with the first available CD players for the American market.
