English: Maori carving depicting a woman and a man embracing. From the pataka (food storehouse) belonging to Te Pokiha Taranui of Ngati Pikiao, Te Arawa. The storehouse was completed in the 1870s, and stood at Maketu, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. It is now at Auckland Museum. Photo by uploader 20 May 2006, no rights reserved.
