Summary

Description
English: AKA MANATAWNY ROLLER MILLS; MILL WAS BUILT IN 1855
Date
Source Own work
Author Jerrye & Roy Klotz, MD

THE PICTURE THAT IS CURRENTLY SHOWN ON THE NR LISTING IS NOT THE RIGHT BUILDING. I MET THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING IN THE PICTURE I AM SENDING AND HE CONFIRMED THAT THE MANATAWNY ROLLER MILLS AND WEIDNER MILL ARE ONE AND THE SAME. ALSO ON THE WEB THERE ARE SEVERAL REFERENCES AND PICTURES CONFIRMING THIS. THE MILL IS SUPPOSED TO BE BOTH STONE AND BRICK WHICH THIS PICTURE SHOWS. THE CORRECT LOCATION FOR THE MILL IS ON SHARON ROAD JUST OFF OF BLACKSMITH ROAD AND ALONNG MANATAWNY CREEK. I SHALL SEND ADDITIONAL PICTURES OF THE FARM HOUSE AND THE MILL RACE & DAM

Captions

I lived in the Farm House at this site from 1968-1980s and yes this is the Weidner Mill (Manatawy Roller Mill) in which my father had his work shop. And Sharon (of SHARON ROAD) is my sister! Author, Bonnie (Heck) Meyer
