Summary

Description
English: A continuation of the previous two days. Yesterday, at 4:30 PM the Virginia was launched into the Kennebec River in Bath, Maine. Construction began in 2011 and was financed by donations and volunteers. This photo was taken moments after the slings used to move it from land to water were pulled up. In this photo she is being moved to here permanent mooring spot by a tugboat . There were hundreds of people there including many on a nice collection of small boats to enjoy and celebrate this occasion. The weather was overcast but seasonally warm. Speaking for myself, I cannot imagine what it must have been like to cross the Atlantic in a ship this size.
