Summary

Description
English: Image from the Isenheimer Altar, showing two angels playing a Viola da Gamba and a Viola da Braccio.
  • Front Angel: Playing Viola da Gamba, but holding the bow incorrectly. It is possible that the angle was originally planned to stand on the other side/play with the left hand, and the artist corrected himself halfway through the drawing.
  • Back angel: Playing Viola da Braccio
