English: The Calgary Soldiers' Memorial was erected in 2011 to pay tribute to all Canadian soldiers from Calgary, Alberta to have lost their lives in war. In April 2017 the site was the focus of a parade of local Army Reserve soldiers, and a visiting delegation from the British Army Training Unit Suffield. A ceremony was held to commemorate the Battle of Vimy Ridge in which both Canadian and British soldiers took part in April 1917.
