Summary

Description
English: Looking eastward along Station Road East (later St George Street), Papatoetoe, ca 1925. The Papatoetoe Town Hall, which can be seen to the right, was opened in 1918. F.E. Carr's pharmacy or chemist's shop, which can be seen to the left, was situated here between 1925 and 1930, before moving further up the street. The prominent two-storey Timewell Building beyond was opened in 1923. The electric power poles on the right-hand side of the street were erected in 1925 or 1926.
