English: View of the village of Cargèse looking in a westerly direction. The port with the marina is on the left. The ruined Genoese tower, the Torra d'Omigna is at the top right. Another Genoese tower, the Torra di Carghjesi, sits at the highest point of the headland above the village. The buildings of the conference centre, the Études Scientifiques de Cargèse, are in the centre foreground by the sea. The road in the foreground is the D 81 that runs along the coast to the village of Sagone. |
