"Vidikovac Grgura Ninskoga"

On a stone block in the form of a book the alphabet is carved in Latin, Cyrillic and Glagolitic script. It reminds of the croatic Bishop Gregor von Nin, who fighted for the right of a national church while the Croatian national dynasty in 10. century. On a metal plate in front of the memorial you find the inscription VIDIKOVAC GRGURA NINSKOGA / PISMA GLAGOLJICA CIRILICA I LATINICA / OTKRIVALA SU I ŠIRILA OBZORE / KULTURE I CIVILIZACIJE

"Vidikovac Grgura Ninskoga"

In einen Steinblock in Form eines Buches ist das Alphabet in lateinischer, kyrillischer und glagolitischer Schrift eingemeißelt. Er erinnert an den kroatischen Bischof Gregor von Nin, der während der kroatischen nationalen Dynastie im 10. Jh. für das Recht seiner nationalen Kirche kämpfte. Im 19. Jh. wurde Gregor zum Symbol des Widerstandes gegen die Einmischung aus Wien und Rom. Auf einer davor eingelassenen Metallplatte findet sich die Aufschrift VIDIKOVAC GRGURA NINSKOGA / PISMA GLAGOLJICA CIRILICA I LATINICA / OTKRIVALA SU I ŠIRILA OBZORE / KULTURE I CIVILIZACIJE
