| Description |
English: Victorian Railways 5'3" gauge 'VLAA' Type 10 ton bogie ventilated van No.VLAA 56 (ex-No.UB 56) at the Victoria Railway Museum, North Williamstown, 2 April 2016. This van was constructed as a 'UB' Type at VR Newport which in 1932-34 extensively rebuilt 60 6-wheeled 'U' Type vans (built 1908-19) with diamond-framed bogies from 'QR' Type open wagons. The 'UB's' were reclassified 'VLAA's' in 1981. No.VLAA 56 was the last in service when withdrawn in 1984. |
