Description
Français : Vessel stand in the form of an ibex, from Sumer, Early Dynastic III Period (ca. 2600-2350). Provenience unknown, most likely from a cultic context. Made in arsenical copper, inlaid with lapis lazuli and shell (right eye ; left eye is lost and replaced with wax)), cast with the lost-wax technique.
