English: In 2017, the Sri Lankan army attempted to build a Buddha stupa in front of the Vattappalai Kannagi Amman Temple. Suddenly, an image of Kannagi appeared on the Bo tree where the army had chosen to build the stupa. Consequently, the plan was cancelled. |
