Description

1860-1900 carte de visite photo of a young woman in striped dress, by an unknown UK photographer. The first upload is an unedited scan of the original CDV. The second upload is trimmed for a more usable composition, but otherwise unedited.

Points of interest
  • This CDV appears insignificant at first glance, but a close-up shows the photographer's skill and the beauty of the portrait.
  • The spiky brooch at her neck would be uncomfortable if she lowered her chin to look downward.
  • The reverse of this card is blank.
