English: In the early 20th century Union Station in Winnipeg welcomed thousands of immigrants to Western Canada. It was built in a rather severe Beaux-Arts style 1908-1911 and was jointly operated by Grand Trunk Pacific and Canadian Northern Railways. Now it serves both Canadian National and Via Rail.
