Polacy, postanowiły i stanowią:
Artykuł 1.
Kokardę Narodową stanowić będą kolory herbu Królewstwa
Polskiego i Wielkiego Xięstwa Litewskiego,
to jest kolor biały z czerwonym
Artykuł 2.
Wszyscy Polacy, a mianowicie Wojsko polskie
te kolory nosić mają w miéjscu gdzie takowe
oznaki do tąd noszonymi były.

The House of Senators and the House of Deputies, having heard the Motions of Parliamentary Committees, [and] having considered the need to establish unified insignia under which Poles ought to unite, decided and establish:
Article 1
The National Cockade shall consist of the colors of the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, that is the colors white and red.
Article 2
All Poles, namely the Polish Army, ought to wear these colors wherever such insignia have been hitherto worn.
Adopted at a session of the House of Deputies on February 7, 1831.
