Deutsch: Kollimator für Neutronen am Zyklotron der Universität Washington
Die Bleistäbe fokussieren den Neutronenstrahl. so dass möglichst nur der Tumor und nicht das umliegende Gewebe bestrahlt wird. Für jeden Patient wird die Kollimatorblende individuell eingestellt.
English: Collimator for neutrons in the University of Washington cyclotron. The lead blades are custom positioned for each patient's tumor geometry. They focus the neutron beam in order to irradiate only the tumor and not the surrounding tissue.
