DescriptionUSS Oregon 'bow crest' at Tom McCall, 26Aug2023.jpg
English: The defaced bow shield at the USS Oregon memorial at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, including links from the anchor chain donated by Yokohama, Japan, in 1979 after the ship was scrapped overseas. Graffiti is present on both the shield and the anchor chains. The memorial was in similar condition in 2022. Note that the shield, when the Battleship Oregon was a museum, was found not to fit the bow and may actually be from a different ship.
