Summary

Description The U.S. Navy light minelayer USS Gwin (DM-33) at anchor, circa 1956. Gwin was the last of the Robert H. Smith-class destroyers to be decommissioned on 3 April 1958. The Robert H. Smith-class destroyers were twelve Allen M. Sumner-class destroyers converted to light minelayers during construction in 1944.
