Description
English: The drum major for the 1st Marine Division Band speaks to the audience prior to the performance during the second annual high school band competition at Golden Gate Park, Oct. 10. The San Francisco Fleet Week event drew 12 bands from local high schools, all seeking to take home the $10,000 cash prize donated by the Fleet Week Association. The Marine Corps band performed for band students, instructors, friends and families and showcased opportunities available for high school students should they choose to pursue music in the Corps.
