Deutsch: Convair F-102A Delta Dagger (FC-237, s/n 56-1237) der 526th FIS (Fighter Interceptor Squadron), 86th FIW (Fighter Interceptor Wing) in Giebelstadt AB, Juni 1961. Auf der linken Bugseite war vor dem Lufteinlauf der Name des Piloten angeschrieben: LT COL R RANKIN - COMMANDER. Die 526th FIS war 1961 in Ramstein AB, Rheinland-Pfalz stationiert.
  • s/n 56-1237: Die 1961 in Giebelstadt photographierte Convair F-102A-70-CO Delta Dagger (s/n 56-1237) stürzte am 14. Juli 1969 35 Meilen (56 Km) südwestlich von Sembach Air Base, in der Nähe des Ortsteils Ingweiler (Kreisstadt Homburg/Saarland ab;
  • s/n 56-1235: Das Schwesterflugzeug s/n 56-1235 der 526th FIS war bereits am 5. März 1963 bei Illesheim Army Airfleld im Lkr. Neustadt a.d. Aisch-Bad Windsheim, vermutlich ebenfalls durch Absturz verloren gegangen;
  • s/n 56-1239: Absturz F-102A, 526th FIS, am 6. Januar 1961 in der Nähe der Toul-Rosières Air Base in Frankreich.
  • s/n 56-1234: Die F-102A der 525th FIS war am 5. März 1968 abgestürzt, nachdem sie in "Bobesheim", vermutlich Bobenheim am Berg oder Bobenheim-Roxheim in Rheinland-Pfalz ein Haus berührt hatte.

English: Convair F-102A Delta Dagger (FC-237, s/n 56-1237) of 526th FIS (Fighter Interceptor Squadron), 86th FIW (Fighter Interceptor Wing) at Giebelstadt AB, June 1961. On left side before the air intake pilot's name was written: LT COL R RANKIN - COMMANDER. In 1961 the 526th FIS was based at Ramstein AB, Rhineland-Palatinate. Note:
  • s/n 56-1237 = Convair F-102A-70-CO Delta Dagger. This aircraft crashed on Jul 14, 1969, 35 miles SW from Sembach AB near Ingweiler, Germany;
  • s/n 56-1239 (526th FIS) crashed Jan 6, 1961 near Toul-Rossieres AB (Toul-Rosières Air Base), France;
  • s/n 56-1235 (526th FIS) lost Mar 5, 1963 near Illesheim Army Airfleld, Germany;
  • s/n 56-1234 (525th FIS) crashed Mar 5, 1968. Struck a house in Bobesheim (=> Bobenheim am Berg or Bobenheim-Roxheim in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
