English: Aerial view (to the northeast) of New Hogan Lake and New Hogan Dam — on the Calaveras River in Calaveras County, California.
  • The dam is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, about 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Stockton, California.
  • The dam was constructed in 1963 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and hydroelectric power production on the Calaveras River.
