Summary

Description

AT NREL, ADAM (ADVANCED AUTOMOTIVE MANIKIN) IS USED TO ASSESS HUMAN THERMAL COMFORT.

ADAM is designed to evaluate human physiological response to transient, non-homogeneous thermal conditions. His sensors measure skin temperature and core temperature changes and he sweats just like a human would in the same conditions. This allows researchers to evaluate advanced climate control systems and physiological responses to wearing protective suits.
