Description AWM Caption: Rapopo Airstrip, New Britain. A Japanese tank crew bringing a type 95 Ha-Go light tank out of the lines to hand over to Australian crews of 2/4 Armoured Regiment. A total of over 40 Japanese medium and light tanks were handed over. Japanese drivers drove the tanks back to Rabaul, with Australians as crew commanders.
