Summary

Description
English: This image shows the Tuerto pediment surface, forming the very level surface of the escarpment in the middle distance. Here the surface has been cut by the valley of the Galisteo River. The mountains in the background are the Ortiz Mountains, formerly known as the Tuerto Mountains, for which the pediment surface is named. The surface extends in all directions from the Ortiz Mountains.
