English: This image is of a large fragment of the Tsherige Member of the Bandelier Tuff, on the Powerline Trail south of White Rock, New Mexico, USA. The individual pumice fragments embedded in the tuff are up to 5 cm across. The Tsherige Member was erupted in the Valles event 1.25 million years ago. |
