DescriptionTrump Turnberry Hotel - geograph.org.uk - 5273443.jpg
English: Trump Turnberry Hotel.
This famous landmark was built in 1906 as the Turnberry Station Hotel on the Glasgow & South-Western Railway’s line between Ayr and Girvan. It was requisitioned as a hospital during both World Wars to support the nearby airbase. Remains of the old runways are still visible beside the golf courses. The estate was bought by Donald Trump in 2014, when the hotel was renamed Trump Turnberry.
