DescriptionTransportational effects of urban sprawl in cities.jpg
English: Urban sprawl is the expansion of urban areas into more suburban areas. There are many effects that come with urban sprawl including a positive feedback loop of transportation-related impacts. This includes an increase in gas use because people are traveling in and out of the suburbs, which allows for higher tax revenue from increased gas use. With more money available, comes more highway construction for the expansion of roads and more cars, leading to more traffic and longer commutes, overall using more gas, etc.
