Français : Cet édifice a été construit dans la deuxième moitié du XVème siècle, par Henri Jouffroy, second fils de Perrin, frère du Cardinal.
D’abord loué, il fut acquis en 1552 par les notables de la ville, pour abriter les fonctions communales. Fleuron du patrimoine civil luxovien, il s’élève sur quatre étages, s’ouvrant sur un bel escalier latéral de 146 marches, menant à une tour octogonale. Il abrite de nos jour un musée qui est l’un des plus anciens de France : c’est par une délibération datée du 22 janvier 1673, que le Conseil de la ville prit la résolution de « recueillir les antiques trouvés sur son territoire, et de les déposer à l’Hôtel de Ville ».
