Praça Beira Rio, monumento Guaracui, uma tulipa de aço. Ao fundo, Casarão do Porto conhecido como KKKK , marco da colonização japonesa na cidade de Registro-SP.

Nesta praça, onde se encontrava uma árvore guaracuí - Andira anthelmia (Vell.) J.F. Macbr., um dos símbolos do município - foi instalada uma obra também denominada Guaracuí (uma flor estilizada de 7m de altura, em aço) que a artista plástica Tomie Ohtake doou ao município em homenagem aos imigrantes japoneses. Origem do nome do parque: José Mendes governou o Município entre 1973 e 1977 e entre 1993 e 1997.
