Summary

Description
English: (a) A TinyLev system with the driver board and the single-axis acoustic levitator. The levitator is made of a 3D printed frame with 72 transducers arranged on two surfaces (36 transducers on each surface) focused at a central point. This creates a a standing wave arrangement which here levitated expanded polystyrene particles at the nodes. (b) Is a simulation of the acoustic pressure field. Each circle represents a 10mm diameter transducer and the colour is their emitting phase. In this case the phases are pi radians out of sync.
