Summary

Description
English: Thoresby Colliery Junction Signal Box, looking east. The run-around loop for the Thoresby Colliery Branch is on the lefthand (north) side, with the High Marnham Test Track leading straight on ahead into the distance. The signal post ahead in the centre of the picture states "START OF STAFF SECTION", while the rear-facing signal of the right close to the signal box states "END OF STAFF SECTION RETURN STAFF TO SIGNAL BOX". The signal box is labelled "THORESBY COLLIERY". The wagons in the loop say "GBRf" in large letters on the side. The route from Thoresby to High Marnham is now used by test trains that will be trialling new technology and for testing purposes, this includes ballast cleaning, track laying, new welding technology and testing new rail mounted plant equipment.
