Description
English: Thoor Ballylee / Túr Bhaile Uí Laí This 16th-century tower house of the De Burgo (Burke) family was restored by William Butler Yeats as a retreat for himself and his young family, who occupied it for ten years from 1919. After 1929 it fell into disrepair again, until reopened as a Yeats memorial and heritage centre from 1965.
